This is a must read for all those wanting know about their Igbo heritage but didn't know where to start. As a descendant of former U.S. slaves, as I read this book I couldn't put it down. While reading this book I was able to understand why my foreparents did certain things and passed them down during slavery until they got to me. This book is very reader friendly and the author was well researched and qualified to write this book. This book is written with scholarship & while having the quality it's simplicity is such that a child could read it and walk away with a wealth of knowledge. Mr. Ilona writes concerning intimate parts of the Igbo culture & heritage that will connect dots that directly leads one to the beaten path of the ancient sons of YikObi, the "hidden ones". Turly Mr. Remy Ilona has unearth in this book treasures to be examined up close. I have enjoyed all the books that I have read written by him and i look forward to reading any other books that he will write or movies that will one day be produced by them. I suggest that you quickly get your hands on this book before it is hard to find, a book like this, without a doubt, will become a classic.Believe that!!!
This book is so very interesting. I enjoyed learning how the Igbos tribal traditions reflected ancient Jewish customs. Lovely to see people waking up to the ancient paths of their identity as I await the prophecy of Ezekiel 37 to be fulfilled. That is the restoration of the House of Israel & the House of Judah. What a glorious day that will be! I highly recommend Stephen Spykerman's book " Christians & Jews the Two Faces of Israel" for a rich understating of the promise of the restoration of the two houses.
