I'm not sure what book the other reviewers were looking at but this book is very good. Although it is a small book every page is a color photo of a project. This is a good book for kids and beginning clay artists. It may not have a long drawn out step by step tutorial of each item, but it doesn't need it. These project are o simple my two year old had no trouble figuring it out. I've been working in Polymer Clay for over 20 years now and if a book was bad I would be the first one to say " Don't buy it!" However this book is not one of them. This may not be the biggest book and the project may be very simple (maybe not for a pro), but it's still a must have in my collection. Other good books to get are "Food Displays" by Sue Heaser, and "Making Miniature Food" by Angie Scarr, and "The Polymer cClay Book" by Jessica and Susan Partain. Hope this helps!
This book is very thin and most of the projects are mediocre at best. Save your money and buy the Polymer Clay Cookbook instead! It has step-by-step instructions and alot of photos, as compared to this book that has basic instruction and not enough photos of the process. It's an OK book, but not worth the $ I paid for it. If you can get it on sale, then buy it.

This book has some really good project ideas and gives good instructions for my middle school art students to follow. They have used the book and created some very cute jewelry pieces.
This book is awesome! From a clay creator like me, its totally cool. Everything is well explained and has a little less pictures than i would have liked but is still good. This book actually comes with 40 projects: ten ideas with 1 variation each. The only thing that really bugged me was that they didnt have directions for any of the variations and theres 20 of them. Basically, (for the variations) there is a picture of the finished product and a description. Overall, its worth the money.
had fun creating things out of clay and my mother loves it also. She always borrowing the book for something.
